Skyline dr

It was a beautiful spot, I drove past the 4 by the river and turned around and got the 3rd one. Not many people until around 9 to 1130 about 50 different cars left on the road, I don’t know if there’s ohv trails or what.

Roadside Oasis

This is down a little dirt road near the Ghost town remnants of Tucker, Utah. There is a cute little creek, plenty of places to pull into to camp, and lots of neat rock formations to observe. We stayed 2 nights, and after dusk, the noise was minimal. You can hear some traffic noise from the highway, but it's faint. Be sure to mind the signs posted for private property. It seems as though some people have left their trash behind, and it's very unfortunate because this is by far the best spot we found on this HWY near Spanish Fork. Pack in and pack out is a must as there are no amenities other than nature's amenities. I found a few fossils in my wandering of our site. Some spots by the creek have been washed out, and the ground seems to have given way, so be mindful of where you park. The spot we stayed in was the 3rd spot after the private property signs on the left-hand side. Be sure to scout the turn-off roads before attempting to drive down them. This is a sandy spot, and the ground is not the most sound due to water damage. Cool little spot to unwind and enjoy nature's surroundings.

Great spot away from highway!

This spot was great. We arrived at dusk and it was still easy to find, although there was a long dirt road (about 2 miles) to get to spots marked with a campfire pit. Two or three cars drove by, but it was still secluded enough that we had no worries. We found a spot by a beautiful stream with cool water. Great stargazing. Safe!

Perfect Spot

It is a perfect spot for the night! Easy to get to, yet secluded. The first pull off is shaded and has a cute little stream.

As advertised

I drove all the way through the National Forest. I found a great spot, tucked in with plenty of shade and privacy. N 39 54.3055’ W111 14.5213
Once you get to the top there are plenty of great options with outstanding views. July day temps in the low 80s. Night were refreshing. The road from the Fair View side was much better, with a trailer that’s how I would tackle it. Beautiful sites pop out almost immediately and continue at almost every turn.

Nice, short term location... very close to the Manti-Lasal National Forest

We set up at the first site on the left as you enter and it is a nice one for a short term visit. The only draw-back is that it is close to a dirt parking lot that OHV owners use. It is the fourth of July weekend though, so probably heavier than usual traffic. We drove our towed vehicle further down the road and discovered that you enter the Manti-Lasal National Forest in about a mile. If you continue for another 3 or 4 miles you will climb up into some absolutely gorgeous groves of Aspen trees. Although we did not see any Motorhomes up there, there were multiple campsites and several were taken by folks that had towed their 35-45 foot fifth wheels up there. I believe my 29 foot Four Winds could have made the drive without issues, although we did not try it.

1st sites are the best

The first review on this campsite is fantastic! The directions take you right to the camping location. There are sites lining the river that can fit RVs. The dirt road is well maintained. It up Spanish fork canyon, and due to that the temperatures get quite cold at night, especially in the fall/winter.

Cratal clear bubbling brook

The sites closest to the little creek have the most shade. There’s only 4 though that are right on the creek and along the first mile or so of skyline. Good shade and soft ground. The creek was low flow when we were there but still had the great sound of a bigger creek. Not sure creekside would be a wise choice during heavy rains as the bank is not very high along the camp spots. Further up the road gets away from the creek and the banks are much higher. Not much shade and more open. Nobody was camped there in a Thursday in late Afternoon August, Fire scars are still pretty obvious but there’s still enough vegetation to be enjoyed. albeit with the constant reminder of why it’s necessary to maybe opt out of a campfire or at least be overly conscious when dry and windy, as well as making sure your fire is completely doused and cold. Leaving just one hot cinder behind can wreck havoc. There is a tempting spot that encroaches on private property. Best to stay away from that. Beyond the open shade less spots there are a few more spots with trees about 5 miles down on skyline drive. We were just scouting after camping the night with our pull behind trailer.

Relax and Chill

This is a great spot to hang out with friends, and enjoy the mountain air. If you can get a spot in the shade along the creek...it would be perfect. Shade is limited, and there aren’t a lot of hiking opportunities. However for those who enjoy motor bike and arc activity, it’s ideal!
