Beautiful location
Beautiful location, small campground of only about 13 sites. They are clean and well kept. Bathrooms were clean and did not stink at all. The location is stunning although summer bugs are terrible, bring bug spray. It is high elevation and very little shade so be prepared. A shaded netting for the picnic tables would be ideal. If you are a fan of horses try to be at camp at 4:30. The nearby ranch has their horse run out to pasture at that time and it is beautiful. Proper bear storage is important. If you are an early riser you may hear wolves howl in the distance. No cell service with Verizon but at only $10 a night, it is a great escape.

Unbelievable Campground!
We stayed during the off-season so it was very quiet. Most nights we had the entire place to ourselves, but a few people did comethrough for day-use fishing and to hit the equestrian trails. Brooks Lake is fairly small but beautiful and nestled between two mountain ridges. There's hiking trails from the campground that were pretty and not strenuous. Verizon cell signal was non-existent, but it was great to get away! The bathrooms were open, even during the off-season, and clean! The road out from the highway wasn't too bad, a high-clearance vehicle is not required. Would absolutely stay again!

Great place to camp
Absolutely love this place. it’s absolutely beautiful there. Elevation is 9100 ft so it does get cold at night. We did stay in tents, not sure why it’s saying you can’t. I can’t wait to go back. The bathrooms are kept very clean also
