East Davis Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at East Davis Campground, a drive-in site in Deschutes National Forest running $21–$23 per night from April through September. The access road is narrow and reportedly rough, so drivers of larger rigs should note the 40-foot RV limit and plan accordingly. A fire burned through the area in prior years, leaving the surrounding landscape with sparse tree cover. Odell Creek runs along the west side of the campground, though it runs shallow with no swimming. Davis Lake is fly-fishing only, with trout and bass in the water. The campground fills up during summer, so reservations are worth securing early. Anglers and RV travelers who can manage the road conditions will find West Davis Lake nearby if additional options are needed. Those researching campgrounds near Deschutes National Forest will find this one well-suited to fishing-focused trips over multi-day stays.

Ok place

Very small campground with difficult spots to get in. Narrow road getting in and out. Not a lot todo, Odell creek is on the west side, no swimming holes as it is shallow. A fire came through here a few years ago and the surrounding landscape is barren of any trees. With pandemic camping, I was surprised to see it packed this summer. Davis lake is fly fishing only. Trout and Large Bass inhabit the lake. Please take as many illegally introduced Bass you can. Deep fried they are tasty. Weed line by lava campground is best haunt for bass.
