Crescent Creek Campground

Rough forest roads lead to this US Forest Service campground along Crescent Creek in the Deschutes National Forest. The 21 sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet and include picnic tables, fire rings, and access to drinking water and restrooms. Open from mid-May through September, the campground operates on a reservation system with nightly rates between $21-$23.

Creek access requires waders due to thick brush along the banks, though fishing opportunities exist for those willing to navigate the vegetation. Early summer brings heavy mosquito activity according to recent visitors. Highway noise from passing vehicles affects some sites. For a different experience, East Davis Campground offers lakeside camping six miles north.

Nice getaway

With all the major lakes flooded with people now, this is a nice little campground tucked away but not to far to drive to lakes and play for the day. Mosquitos are insane in the early summer. The creek is nice but quite brushy, so waders if you want to fish.
