The KOA on the southwest side offers more amenities including a store for supplies. For those seeking a truly primitive experience, there are dispersed camping opportunities along Forest Road 2612 past the dam, where you can find pullouts with lakefront access. Each area offers a different balance of amenities, privacy, and proximity to the water, allowing you to choose based on your camping preferences.

Lemolo Lake is a prime fishing destination known for rainbow trout, brown trout, and kokanee salmon. The lake is regularly stocked and offers both shore fishing and boat fishing opportunities. For the best experience, launch from one of the designated boat ramps around the lake. The lake is relatively easy to navigate, making it suitable for various watercraft. Fishing is typically productive throughout the summer months, with early morning and evening hours providing the best results. Remember to obtain an Oregon fishing license and check local regulations regarding catch limits and seasonal restrictions before your trip.

The optimal camping season at Lemolo Lake runs from late June through early September when the weather is warmest and most activities are accessible. July and August offer the most pleasant conditions with warmer temperatures and fewer mosquitoes. By mid-summer, mosquito populations typically diminish due to heat.
