About
Municipal
The Little Girl’s Point Park is a rustic recreational facility established by Gogebic County in 1920, and is located at E1930 Lake Road in Ironwood, Michigan along the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. There are 29 electric (30-50 amp power), and 2 non-electric campsites available for nightly or monthly reservations. An on site water tanker provides access to potable water to fill containers. (** There is no direct water to sites and no dump station available at the park) Little Girl’s Point County Campground features breathtaking views of Lake Superior as well as two pavilions with grills and picnic tables, walking trails and recently updated playground equipment. Within the park boundaries, the mouth of Oman’s Creek offers boating access.
Camping, swimming, fishing, rock hounding, boating and sightseeing are all ways to enjoy the beauty and grandeur of Lake Superior and Little Girl’s Point County Park. On most days the Porcupine Mountains are clearly visible to the west and the Apostle Islands are visible to the northwest. The sunsets are spectacular during the camping season and during the off season winter months there are often massive ice formations along the shore of the beach.

Busy but beautiful
Gorgeous views, busy, but enough space between wooded sites for a touch of privacy.
I spend all day every day at the lake, which has lovely beach walks for about a mile total of available shore.
I found it hard to locate any cell service (T-Mobile).
Nice campground with good beach
All sites have at least some shade, some are well shaded. It is a nice long beach to look for colorful rocks. No WiFi, but I had phone and text connection on Verizon which was more than I was expecting. You don't have to travel far to get enough signal to be able to do downloads.
Beautiful view of Lake Superior
Beautiful sites overlook the cliffs of Lake Superior. Sites are semi secluded and are wooded. No cell service.
