Beautiful location
Highly recommend location very beautiful scenery and lots of good accommodations
Very quiet and beautiful
WARNING RV’s and TRAVEL TRAILERS - the 3.4 mile dirt road up the mountain can be quite steep, at times rough, and narrow with water erosion on one side creating sizable troughs. Also only a few of the 17 sites could really my truck and my 18 ft trailer (I was site 14 which just fit me and was the flattest site by far). Ideal for tenting, car camping, and conversion vans. Other than those complaints, the campsite is beautiful with a creek running right through the middle with great hiking all around and the cleanest vault toilets you’ll ever find (as other reviewers have mentioned).

In the Pines
Best week-long tent trip! Our site was 6 which right next that the creek and you can listen to running water next to your tent. So peaceful. Easy access to hiking Pikes Peak from the west side. Wife and I did it and it took about 6.5 hours. Richard the camp host was friendly. Water station and great biking/hiking trails all around. No Cell service. Dirt road, easy access.
