Nice Weekend Spot
Nice spot to hit up for the weekend. Fairly large sites and the bathhouse was rather clean. Downside if your into biking there isn’t much options other than the roadways. Didn’t check out the beach as it was cool out but seems pretty decent with large grassy area.
Worth a second stay!
Have stayed here twice! Both at hike-in sites surrounded by woods and neighbors far enough away but friendly when encountered. Lots of RV and other tent and camper options as well, smartly planned campground. Superb plumbing facilities ( didn’t use the showers but they looked clean and private rooms for each stall) and even better beach, picnic area with volleyball and tennis, endless hiking and boating opportunities. This park offers it all!

Been awhile, 7 years ago
We stayed here for a night back in 2015.
We were in a road trip and started looking for a place to spend the night. They had sites available. Seemed like a nice campground, quiet and peaceful. The site we had was flat and had a nice spot for a tent on the grass .
We would camp here again,
Ideal
Lots of beautiful sights to see. Perfect hiking trails. Clean showers. Busy but everyone is super kind. Be sure to buy your groceries prior to arriving because the grocery store in town nearby is $$$.
Quick in and out
One night stay, we were headed up to copper harbor MI. Clean and great bathrooms
A great campground!
We left another campground for this one. We loved it here. Great buffers between most sites. Loop C have pull though sites and a very nice and roomy. Loops A and B have a variety of sizes. Some really nice tent sites and smaller campers. We have a 25ft and found several great spots. We also have a dog that needs room. Our site gave him that. Our site was clean. Vault toilets on every loop and 2 shower/flush toilet houses near loops C & B, and one near B & A. They were very clean. We had spotty reception but did receive calls and text. We only had 2 neighbors while We were there. The last 2 nighr we were alone. We were there late September. It was beautiful. By far one of the best state parks in Michigan we have camped at. Would definitely be back!

Bewabic
Nice wooded sites. Most have a good buffer between sites. The lake was very clear, although the beach did have a fair amount of goose poop on it.
Bewabic State Park
We stayed at Bewabic State Park in a 34’ trailer. We stayed in site 61 which is a narrow site at the bottom of a small hill and on a corner, which made backing in tricky. The site was very nice and had buffers all around, with only a neighbor to one side. We chose 61 because on the map it appeared close to the bathrooms and park. It is close, but only if you walk through a fairly grown in path. The only park we saw consisted of a swing set and a slide. Loops A and B have some hills and tight corners, making them more convenient for tents or smaller trailers. Loop C would be best for larger units. The park has many C-shaped pull-through sites.
It is a fair distance to the beach from the campsites, and most people seemed to drive there, as the road is decently hilly. The beach was very small, with a large grassy hill behind it. The hill was unfortunately COVERED in goose poop, which was disgusting. You cannot have dogs on this beach, but the Canada gooses sure are allowed. The bottom of the lake was kind of slimy in places. We did not get cell service at our campsite. You could get sparse service at the bathrooms at the start of loops A and B, or at the entry.
Bewabic Campground
This was one of our favourite campgrounds in Michigan sites were far apart in secluded great brewery nearby.

Enjoying the B Loop
Nice shaded and level lots. The B loop is close to hot showers and clean bathrooms. Plenty of room between neighbor campers. I enjoyed the hiking trails. Grocery and hardware store is close by.

Love
Very hospitable. Sites were large and well cared for. Trails, parks, and a beach. Very affordable kayak and canoe rentals. Friendly staff. Wood for sale on site, fishing pole rentals, tennis courts. Will definitely come back!
Convenient
Right on the highway. Perfect for the traveling family. Full hook-up available and a fun place to be for the entire fam.
Favorite campground ever
Busy on the weekends, but empties out during the week. Amazing lake to swim in, beautiful quite hikes. Great showers and bathrooms. We go every year, and we always come back to Bewabic!
our favorite
this has been one of our favorite campgrounds over the past couple years. loop a is nice and wooded and private. the bigger loop has sites pretty close together. nice beach and lake. hiking trails and playground.
Semi Private Campsites
Campground was well maintained. When we arrived there was no one working the check in station however we were able to use the phone provided and get checked in to our site. Campground is on a lake and there is a nice hiking trail around the island. The site we stayed in was surrounded by trees giving us some privacy. The only thing I was not satisfied with was the fact that the bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, there was however a no smoking sign posted.
Small sites. Clean bathrooms, good beach area
There are a lot of sites to choose from, but it's a tight squeeze in some sites. There are pit toilets close to the sites and flush toilets with showers that are centrally located. Very clean. Beach area is very nice.
Lovely Park
We drove up and got in and had a nice stay, the sites were very big and the bathrooms were clean. Hiking trails, the only negative thing is the mosquitos, (wear bug spray) the lake was beautiful and there people out boating on it. They have electrical hook-ups but no water hook-ups you have to fill before you come in. There is a dump station there. It was quiet at night and dark and you could see the star!
This State Park is my 'go to' whenever I want a easy over nighter. Clean, large sites, easy access to snowmobile/ORV trails, good fishing in both streams and lakes. Canoeing is good, and the historical aspect is really interesting. something for everyone.
Last visit was for the end f trout season '17. The park was just as clean as opening day.
love it
Love camping here. Sites are big and give plenty of room. Campground is clean and everyone is friendly.
