Nice campground

Great people working there, seemed quiet until our neighbor turned on the construction site generator for 4.5 hours. Weekends are very busy, but noisy which is ok if you don’t mind motorcycles and generators. We were looking for quiet this trip so we only stayed one day.

Great place with great people

On our way to NM from CA and needed a site for the night. Boy did we get lucky! Gorgeous views of the lake which was a close walk, very clean sites, and staff who went above and beyond when we called to book on the same day. We’ll go out of our way to make it back to this excellent campground. Thanks for everything!

Close to town!

First time here, the hosts were nice and let us reserve a spot for the weekend but only because we showed up in person.

The spots were clean, some with shade and some out in the open. We stayed across the road in the second camping loop and they only allow RV’s in this side, no tents. There are no hookups at all on this second loop, but you can fill fresh water from over near the dump station.

Short walk to the lake for swimming and/or fishing. They stock the lake and the creek behind it with trout.

Weekday Heaven

This campground was really nice and quiet on the weekdays. I left on Sat morning, and Friday night it was hopping and crowded (It was also Fathers day weekend). Most of the electric sites are really big and private. Lots of trees to block camper other campers. On the downside there was only 1 flush toilet bathroom for one side of the campground. There were more flush toilets and showers by the registration office, but they were locked in the evening/night.

Amazing lake camping!

This is by far my favorite lake campground and one of my top 3 overall campgrounds. The camping spots are large and clean. The bathrooms are always clean and the showers are hot. There is a biking/hiking trail around the lake that we love to spend time on. You can fish too. Plenty of bird and wildlife watching. We love to take our canoe and hang out on the lake. It has a remote feel, but is close enough to a Walmart in case you need supplies and an urgent care in case of emergency. It's definitely worth the cost of camping here.

RIGHT on the edge of town.

Cute little Campground literally on the edge of town. If you look in one direction you'll see the apartment buildings about a quarter mile away (you can see it in the video). Each "Loop" has about 4 to 6 spots and a hauled water dispenser with a faucet. There is a men's and women's bathroom for each Loop and a set of bear boxes. The bathrooms have wooden barn looking doors and a 5 gallon bucket in the corner for trash. Each campsite has a picnic table, a standing Grill, and a metal fire pit with Grill. Less than a quarter-mile away there is a canyon so if you have little ones you may want to pick your spot accordingly. The plus side to the canyon is there were people parked near the boat dock that had hiked down it to fish. Some campsites are pull in and some are pull through. A lot had reserved tags but there were still plenty open. There is a lake probably half a mile walk to where you can fish. Otherwise you can drive to it and park fairly close to the dock.
