The Bass Pond

The Bass Pond in Tennessee offers a landscape with rolling hills and wooded areas. Temperatures range from 30°F in winter to 90°F in summer. Nearby, visitors can explore the Cherokee National Forest and the Lost Sea Adventure.

Description

There is no real Bass Pond as yet, but we are planning to add one in the future!

Just 1 mile off Exit 60, I-75 north or south, these new sites are graveled and level, with no trees to avoid.

Nightly fee of $35 include water, electricity, and sewer hookup.

The campsites are pet friendly. Pets must be on a maximum 6' leash at all times. Please dispose of your pet's poop immediately.

RESERVATIONS

To make a reservation, please book on the Dyrt, if you have questions, text the owner, Sharon @ 865-919-8850 with the requested night's stay. Check in is 3PM or after. Check out is 12 noon. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.

Cancellations and changes can be made by calling or texting Owner. Please leave a message with your name, number and request, if no answer. We will return the call or answer your text.

HOOKUPS

RV sites are equipped with electric, well water and sewer hookups.

CONNECTIVITY

WiFi and Satellite/Cable TV are not offered at this time. However, if you have a Hot Spot on your cell phone, all major cell services work well in the area. If your RV is equipped with satellite TV, you should have great reception with a clear view of the southern sky! Antennas work well here.

MAXIMUM STAY

The maximum stay is 14 days. Special arrangements can be made under certain circumstances. Contact the owner to request additional days @ 865-919-8850.

ADDITIONAL FACILITIES

Picnic area with wooden tables is available.

Propane camp stoves are available for rental.

VISITORS

Are permitted as long as their vehicle is parked in the designated site area of camper. Please do not block entrance/exit of other guests' rigs. Please inform owner of any visitors. Overnight visitor stays are $5 per person.

COST

Rentals are $35 We accept all major credit cards. Cash preferred.

Additional Fees:

Clean up fee if site left with excessive trash/debris: $25

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

* Maximum occupancy per site: 1 vehicle with a rig. 2, if towing an additional vehicle. 4 people overnight per site.

* Quiet hours: 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

* Alcoholic beverages: Permitted at campsites. Please drink responsibly and with respect to other campers.

* Generator use: Prohibited during quiet hours.

* Campfires: Allowed only within rings, and/or enclosed above ground fire pits with legs. Follow all local fire advisories.

* Drone use: Requires written permission from the Owner or Manager on duty.

* There is a very large 'quartz-like' rock right beside 'Jarrett Lane' that leads down to the Campsites.

The campground is close enough for hiking and sightseeing in the Tellico Plains, rafting the Ocoee River, visiting the must-see Bald River Falls; or visit the Smokey Mountain Cherokee National Forest and surrounding areas of Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville for a day trip.

A few more minutes to the Cherohala Skyway and the "Tail of the Dragon" makes an unforgettable loop that you won't want to miss!

Dirt track race fans will want to visit I-75 Raceway (4.3 miles) and/or Mountain View Raceway (24 miles) for exciting weekend entertainment. Smoky Mountain Speedway is a little further way at 34 miles... a 45 minute drive.

During June and July you should find a beautiful firefly and lightning bug 'show' over the field that skirts the 'back' of the campground! Their arrival is usually late June early July.

About a 10-to-45-minute drive into surrounding towns for good food.

Directions

From Exit 60 off I-75 North or South, turn toward Watts Bar Lake/Spring City. Travel ~1 mile to County Road 342 (immediately beside Sweetwater Veterinarian Clinic) off State Highway 68. Go 1.1 miles. Turn right (there is no left turn) beside the large quartz-like rock on to Jarrett Lane. Stay on the Lane ~ 1/4 mile until you arrive at the sites. Each site is numbered on the electrical service pole.
