Roscoe City Park

Off Highway 12 in north-central South Dakota, Roscoe City Park provides free camping with electric hookups in this small farming community. The municipal campground features three sites positioned near the restroom facility, with scattered charcoal grills and covered picnic tables throughout the grounds.

Campers park on grassy areas rather than designated pads, and the bathroom house stays open around the clock. The park enforces a three-day camping limit for overnight visitors. For those wanting a lakeside setting, Mina Lake Recreation Area sits 29 miles east with developed facilities and water access.

Tables w/ grass

Pretty decent place for a quick stop and sleep, there are scattered charcoal grills, with covered tables. There's no real parking, just a place with a bit less grass. Bathrooms are always open. There is a 3 day camping limit but overall a pretty nice place.

Roscoe City Park is a welcomed surprise

The small town of Roscoe has a nice spot, three of them, for folks like us to stop for a spell and get off the road for a much needed rest.

The spots are near the bathroom house.

You’re within a small neighborhood, which is a little awkward, BUT they’ve created this specifically for this use.

Be smart, be courteous, & they’ll keep it available (for FREE) to use.

Thank you Town of Roscoe!!
