Best Glamping near Bradford, PA

We have tented and RV'd at Clear Creek. A must do when camping in Pennsylvania. The Clarian river is great for kayaking . Multiple trails off of park. Biking and breweries close by. if you have RV/travel trailer do NOT recommend the non-power sites, they are not level enough, you may really have to bring up the trailer. Pros; excellent location, great friendly people, clean and stocked bathrooms which include showers. Some sites are separated.. great camp hosts

Cons…a few sites are really close, however not a bad thing here as we got to meet a lot of great people, so for us it was kind of a Pro.

Stayed in camper, tent, yurt, and cabins. Always a clean and up kept park. Lots to do in the area. Don't get caught boozing. There pretty strict.

The park is on the scenic Clarion River and offers tent camping, some sites are paddle in only, RV sites, small and larger rustic cabins, and even a couple of yurts. It’s very well maintained, including the restroom/shower houses which were very clean. The upper loop tent sites are a bit more secluded and there is plenty of space for the larger cabins. The smaller cabins are more clustered but we enjoyed staying in them on a couple occasions. Be sure to bring kayaks or inner tubes for lazy hours on the river. There are kayak rentals nearby also. The Clarion River is full of wildlife including bald eagles hunting the river and an occasional black bear nearby.

Be sure to visit Beartown Rocks that is close by. It offers a nice view of the rolling hills of Pennsylvania.

This has become a very popular campground and reservations fill quickly. We usually try for an entire family outing here once a year in October. Very nice, clean campground on the river. We have stayed in sites and a cabin, but never one of the yurts. Family friendly and not overly crowded.

My family has stayed here so many times throughout my lifetime. We always prefer tent camping, but there are spots for RVs, plus there are cabins and yurts available. It has always been clean, quiet and family-friendly.

There's so much to do here--hiking, swimming, rafting, biking, disc golf, etc. There's also a really nice playground and a great little beach at the entrance of the campground (water is always cold though!) Plus plenty of picnic shelters.

This is also a great place to go year-round for kids interested in learning about nature. There is a nature museum. Seek out Ranger Susanne--she is a really great teacher!

A Pennsylvania favorite, Clear Creek State Park is a beautifully maintained, scenic park, right on the Clarion River in the Clear Creek State Park. The Park offers movies on an outdoor screen, regular nature talks and walks and has an onsite museum. The park has tent sites, RV sites and cabins. Clear Creek runs through the campground and is a perfect spot for a BBQ or Picnic. It also has a designated swimming beach with sand. There are multiple hiking trails leaving the campground. There is a general store just 5min from the park, plus multiple private firewood options on the road in. The park also sells firewood bundles. The Clarion is a crystal clear, shallow, rock bottom river perfect for a cool off, fishing or kayaking. There are two kayaking/tubing companies in Cook Forest to hire watercraft to float the river. Both floats don’t go as high as Clear Creek State Park so you won’t float past the campground, with the longest being 9 miles. The facilities are always clean, with large shower areas and always fully stocked with tissue. All sites have fire rings with adjustable grills. The best un-powered RV site is site 40– private and waterfront. The best powered-RV site is 39– private and waterfront. There are also two very private tent sites that are waterfront(classified as Kayak In tent sites) numbered CR-001& CR-002. Both waterfront, shaded with fire rings. Excellent tent sites! Note you can only book them for 1 night at a time. No phone reception at this one! They welcome furry friends at selected sites!

One of our favorite places to camp. Tent and RV sites are nice, clean. The trees offer great shade and privacy between most sites. The park itself is fantastic with plenty to see and do. Family friendly and kids live it.

This is our absolute favorite park to camp! You can stay in Red House area or Quaker Area. You have the option of staying on a tent site or in a cabin. Great fishing and hiking and lots of other stuff to do!

Cabins are great for families and there are also activities and hiking....Close to some attractions for adults and children too.

We've been coming to this campground since I was a kid, and love the fact that you can have the amenities of home away from home. There is so much to do there including catching crayfish, fishing, going to the amplitheater, hiking, and so much more. This is a favorite and a must see for sure!

We have made it an immediate family tradition to stay here for Thanksgiving.

This place is great for family camping. It has a nice variety of cabins along several loops.

Cabins range from rustic to downright homey.

The Red House Administration building is a great central location to meet up with other camping families.

Staff is super friendly & helpful.

The campsites were pretty close together and did not offer much privacy unless you had a camper. At the time I went (May, 2018) the lake was reduced to about a third of it's water due to maintenance, so the kayaks we brought didn't leave the roof of the car, and there was no swimming allowed.

Aside from that, the hiking trails were beautiful and well-marked, the check-in process was easy, and it was a wonderful campground!

This is an awesome place to camp. New improvements to the park have been made the last few year! They runs daily activities you can go to and learn about different things in nature

Love camping at allegheny. Cabins are pretty large and have some great surounding areas, like creeks right next to the cabins. Great place for family camping with tons of different activites offered around the park.

Great place to explore. Many trailes, boating, swimming, camping... just a great place to go.

This park is a fun place to hike and explore. Check out Thunder rocks and climb boulders the size of a house. The cabins are nice and seem to be well kept and quiet everytime I've stayed in them.

We had a great time on the Cain hallow loop site 18. The satellite pictures do not give away how hilly the terrain is on the loop. We were at the top of the hill with a great view.

We did not expect to have zero cell phone reception, t-mobile, but turned out to be great as we just enjoyed the views and the time at the fire .

Our site had a huge space for the kids to run and play.

The bathrooms were clean and cleaned frequently while we were there. We saw the ranger or park staff drive through once or twice a day and they always waved and were friendly.

Lots of things to do in the park and explore. Definitely planning to go back again!

This state park had a nice lake to paddle on, a solid general store, a huge beach area, kayak rentals, tennis courts, a basketball court, and more.

It was a perfect overnight stop as I made my way out of NY, but I would definitely come back for a longer stay!

Upon entering the park it was a 20 minute drive to our site. Our site was perfect wooded, gravel pad, water spigot across the street, bear proof box (a first for us). Great trails a lot of them, we hit 2, we will be back.
My only complaint the park service asks you not to transport fire wood. We understand why, my problem is when you get to the park the small bundles way over priced 35$ lasted for a night. The next day we found camp wood 32”x60” rack for 15$ that lasted us 2 days. Buy firewood outside the park save yourself some cash.

We stayed at site 109 and loved our time at the campground. Our site was across from the bathroom and wasn’t as private as some of the others but we were rewarded with an amazing view. We stayed October 2020 so a little offseason and that may have been part of our check-in issues. When we arrived at Cain Hollow registration we were greeted with a closed sign and directed to Quaker rental 3 miles up road 3. With no map and no cell service this was tough to find in the dark. We actually drove by it once early in our search because it was closed which we discovered after we finally agreed it must be the place. After wasting over an hour we drove to service and called the park police who were able to help us. Overall we loved the park and the hikes around.

We enjoy this campground and try to come at least once a year. We prefer Cain Hollow/Quaker Area over Red House Area for camping. The sites are roomier. This trip we stayed at site 73 with our 27’ camper. It’s not a very deep site but we did have enough room on the non-awning side of our camper to set up a large tent and play corn hole. On the backside of the campsite is a small embankment and just on the other side of it is a creek, which the kids enjoyed playing in. Campground bathrooms were large and clean.
Let’s talk about the lake area within Quaker. On one side of the lake there is a nice area to enjoy fishing. On the other side there’s a rather large sized sandy beach with a newly renovated bath house. (I believe both areas had a docking for canoes/kayaks). The bathroom facilities were pleasantly clean. Just off the beach there is a large new playground. The grounds are so large that you could set up a picnic under one of the several large shaded tress. Ohh and there’s an ice cream counter too. Yumm !!! If you’re up for an adventure you could take a ride out to Thunder rocks and explore and climb some of the large rocks. These are my favorite sites based on size: 114 121 78 79 76 56 54 near river bank 55 (71) and 73 good for group campsite 69 63 60

This was one of my favorite sites yet. They’re a bit further away from each other and the woods around them are thick. I did have to ask our neighbors to stop blasting “Pitbull” at 11:30PM but other than that, it was a great stay.

Went in June, they were basically just opening. Grass wasn’t cut, got nasty bites from chiggers. Quaker store had essential gear but it was left over from last season. Just wouldn’t recommend going in June. Save it for July or August. 

This camp ground literally has something for everyone. From fishing to beaches the whole family will have a blast. We did have visits from wildlife, which was great the bear boxes help protect the food. Sites are large and easy to access. Ours was so clean! Everything is really high priced so try not to forget anything.i recommend this to families and people of all ages.

We had a great stay but had to move spots due to all the gypsy caterpillars. The place was absolutely infested when we were at our campsite underneath the trees but we moved to another site that was in the open field Site 12. It was a gorgeous view in the open field (obviously no shade but we enjoyed the sun). Lots of things to do in the area including kayaking. Overall a great stay, we just hated the gypsy caterpillars that were everywhere.

Did you know this is NY's largest state campground? We stopped here on a rainy night, but what we saw convinced me we need to return. I know this campground is a vacation destination for families in western NY.

Cain Hollow is in the Quaker Run area which includes Quaker Lake. There is another campground in the Red House Area, and there are also lots of cabins. This is definitely a 4 seasons park - hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing....

I was able to take photos of a few sites the next morning. You can see that sites are private and you're definitely in the woods. There are food storage boxes at all campsites because you're in bear country.
