Convenient and spacious

Pull thru sites are large and have plenty of space. Location is crucial venues to I-80 but no traffic noise. Friendly staff

Overall has great potential.

Campground it a little outdated. The back seasonal area has some sketchy looking campers that look abandoned. The locals using the pavilion stayed up making noise way past the 10 pm quiet time. The owners are still relatively new and making visible improvements and were very nice. The layout of the sites was odd and mostly not marked off very well and looked like a free for all in some areas.

False advertising

We booked this campground because it was waterfront camping. Upon arriving to the site, we saw that it was not in fact waterfront camping. When we talked to the office, they just told us to take the other side, which also was not waterfront like advertised. Luckily, before we decided to check that side out, the owners son told her that someone else was coming to that section, “which they were also confused as to why the camping wasn’t waterfront”. The water that was accessible was a small launch area where other people in the campground hung out at most of the time. The map of the campground they gave us was completely different than the one online. The sites weren’t marked either.

Peaceful weekend

This place is for those seeking to be at peace for the weekend. Tent spaces are nicely spaced apart. Some have shade and some do not. I did not see a pool, but the river is nice. You can choose to fish, kayak, or go tubbing. There is a park for kids. Check in was fast and the young man at the office was very pleasant and he knew his stuff. If you seek some place fully updated, this is not it. This place is for those that really just want to rest and appreciate the quietness. Bathroom is clean and the hot water is great.

Indian Head

Nice little campground. The pull through site was grass/gravel and level. It was a little muddy due to several days of rain before we arrived. The sites were all FHU . There seem to be many semi- permanent residents but plenty of room for transients like us passing through. Off season rates were a little high but good for what we wanted. Rather quiet within easy access to I-80. SUGGESTION: some GPS (like mine) might take you off the beaten track to get here !

Nice place, lacks management

In theory, this is a nice place to stay. However, a large and noisy group of young people did not obey the 10p quiet time and there is no management enforcing rules.

Nice location, nice couple

Good location, right on the river. The campground overall is very pretty. A few old, junk trailers around the property need to be hauled off. But the sites are level, grassy, water, sewer and electricity. There are a lot of seasonal and full timers. The bathrooms are “old” but were clean. The couple that own/run the site are amazing, very nice and super accommodating. They quite frankly make the campground.

Nothing fancy

A lot of old campers and other stuff at entrance of campground. Full hook ups, large pull through spots but no trees. Full timers are in tree line. Have to pay for WiFi.

Nice campground

This is a nice campground very laid-back. Not much to do at the campground but it is 20 minutes away from Knoebles. The fees are fairly cheap. Every time I have gone there I had a good time and I have gone here every summer for the last 20 years.
