Right off Highway 126 in Willamette National Forest, Ikenick Sno-Park functions as a dirt parking lot where overnight camping is permitted. No cell reception and no water are available on site. Signage at the lot restricts tent camping in winter months, as snowplow operators cannot reliably see tents, so vehicle-only stays apply during that period. The location gives access to multiple trailheads, including snowshoe routes, and sits close to Clear Lake Resort to the east. Campers who bring dogs will find dog-friendly camping around Willamette National Forest in the broader area. Pack in and pack out applies here. This stop works best for self-sufficient hikers or snowshoers using it as a trailhead base.
Description
Heading north from Ikenick Sno-Park, you'll have good views of Three Fingered Jack and Mt. Washington. Heading south from the sno-park, you go through second growth and older forest. The trail system includes both roads and forested trails. Good trail conditions from this lower elevation sno-park depend on lower elevation snows and big snow years. * Please follow Share the Snow guidelines in shared use areas.
