Manzanita Rest Area Northbound

A northbound rest area on I-5 near Merlin, this stop gives travelers up to 12 hours of legal overnight parking under Oregon state rules. It runs hot in summer, and wildfire smoke is a real seasonal concern worth checking before arrival. Amenities include toilets, picnic tables, and a small designated dog area with waste bags. Campers wanting a full-service RV park nearby can look into Twin Pines RV Park.

This is a trucker rest stop area.

Perfect. Oregon allows you to stay up to 12 hours overnight. It is a godsend and right down the road to Grants Pass, which has Walmart, etc.

A little hot in the summer or very hot. There are frequent wildfires in the area, so always check.

There are dog facilities too—a little dog area with bags.
