Josephine Creek Dispersed — Siskiyou NF

Open Siskiyou National Forest terrain along Josephine Creek offers this flat roadside pullout on a hillside bench just above the creek with a short path down to the water. The surrounding terrain is one of the more botanically unusual corners of southwest Oregon — a wild stand of carnivorous pitcher plants grows directly across the road, a signature of the area's rare serpentine soils. No cell service; small vehicles only on the forest road access.
