Jack Lake Campground

The Jack Lake Trailhead is conveniently located right at the campground, making access extremely easy for campers. You can park at your campsite and simply walk to the trailhead to begin your hiking adventure. This direct access to wilderness trails is one of the campground's main advantages, allowing you to start exploring the surrounding area without needing to drive elsewhere. The trailhead provides access to various hiking routes in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness.

Summer is the optimal time to camp at Jack Lake, when the mountain weather is most favorable and all activities are accessible. The lake is swimmable during warm summer months, providing refreshing relief after hiking the nearby trails. Late spring through early fall generally offers the best conditions, though exact opening times depend on snow melt in this mountain location.
