Expensive but convenient and fun

You can stay here in the parking lot at Mt Bachelor after a day of skiing, hiking, or mountain biking, which is so convenient.  Sleeping in cars is ok, but soft sided tents not allowed due to potential for snow removal vehicles operating.

Pricing is all over the place and dependent on season (cheaper in the summer), weekend v. weekday, and power v. no power - but prices go from $20 to $75/night.  No other amenities offered other than power hookups. No sewer connections or dump station here.  Showers are nice and individual, token operated. Fires not allowed.

Online booking and payment required.

Frequently Asked Questions

What camping options are available at Mt Bachelor during different seasons?

Mt Bachelor offers overnight parking lot camping year-round, but with seasonal restrictions. During winter, you can stay in your vehicle or hard-sided RV after skiing, but soft-sided tents are prohibited due to potential snow removal operations. In summer, the same parking area serves hikers and mountain bikers. Pricing fluctuates based on season, with different rates for winter and summer stays. For all seasons, this is primarily a convenience option rather than a full-service campground, allowing visitors to maximize their time on the mountain.

How far are the nearest camping facilities from Mt Bachelor Ski Resort?

The nearest camping facility is right on-site at Mt Bachelor Ski Resort. You can stay overnight in the parking lot in your vehicle or RV, literally steps from the slopes and trails. This convenient option eliminates any commute time to the mountain, allowing for early access to activities. Note that this is specifically for vehicles and RVs, as soft-sided tents aren't permitted due to snow removal vehicle operations. For those seeking traditional campground amenities, you'll need to look to facilities in the surrounding Deschutes National Forest area.

Where can I find RV camping near Mt Bachelor?

RV camping is available directly in the parking lot at Mt Bachelor. This overnight RV parking option is convenient for visitors who want to stay right at the mountain after a day of outdoor activities. The parking lot accommodates recreational vehicles of various sizes, providing a no-frills but extremely accessible option for RV campers. Pricing varies by season, so it's advisable to check current rates before arrival. This option is perfect for those wanting to maximize their time on the mountain without having to drive to more distant campgrounds.
