Natural Features

At the north end of Hosmer Lake, water drains into a porous rim of lava. Hosmer is a fly fishing only lake well known for its breath taking views of Mt. Beautiful campground with great views and access to Hosmer Lake

This is a great campground with big campsites offering mountain and lake views. There is a nice boat launch area that gives you access to beautiful Hosmer Lake. The campground is a ways off the beaten path so it offers some quietness and solitude.

One of the best!

Such a unique, private and picturesque camping area. The lake and streams are absolutely perfect for kayaking and canoeing. Canoe rentals available near one of the lakeside camping sites. Spread out sites with plenty of surrounding trees for shade and privacy. Primative pit toilets were clean and well maintained. The trails around the lake and around Mallard Marsh area are perfect for dogs and children. Mallard Marsh is one of the most beautiful lakes I’ve ever seen. The abundance of wildlife, stocked pond with both Atlantic Salmon and huge trout, and miles of trails make this an unforgettable campground. The campground is miles off the maIn road. Wood can be purchased, but not much else. Don’t forget anything!
