Description
Southwest Oklahoma's Mountain Park WMA stretches across the north and west shores of Tom Steed Reservoir in Kiowa County — a mix of open grassland, scrub mesquite, and wetland flats managed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation. Primitive camping is available in designated areas along the shoreline, placing campers within easy reach of the reservoir's well-regarded crappie and walleye fishery. The access road off N2230 Road is suited to smaller rigs, and the open terrain near the water's edge offers wide skies and quiet nights.
