The Best Camping Near Mount Gilead, Ohio

Nice campground close to Cleveland and Columbus. You feel like you’re lost taking the backroads to get there. We went in April so the water stuff wasn’t open. It does have a lake with paddle boats, water slide, newer playground, and pool. The staff was great! Even in April there was tons of planned events for the kids. Our favorites were crafts and the train ride. They had a pizza party at night and gave our family an entire box.

The staff was great super helpful. They actually let me check in 2 hours early, which was awesome having 3 super excited fellas. Thank you!

Amazing

We camped here in 2019 and fell in love. It's a great campground with so much to do. Lots for kids of all ages. We had plans on going into town for activities but there was so much to do we spent most of the time in the campground. 
We swam in the lake and pools. We loved the paddle boat ducks and swans. The kids had the best time at archery. We watched them feed the fish at the lake in the morning, that was such a fun experience. I've never seen that many fish that big up close. The tent area was right next to a hiking trail which the kids loved exploring. 
Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. 
The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. 
We can't wait to go back

Family friendly so much to do

Used to love to camp there but it is getting so crowded and overpriced.  Bring a life jacket or you will get charged to use theirs in the lake, which is also a charge.
