COE Baldhill Dam Ashtabula Crossing

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Walk-in access and dispersed sites define the experience at COE Baldhill Dam Ashtabula Crossing, a Corps of Engineers area along the North Country Trail outside Valley City. The site overlooks a large dam, and reviewers note that the established campground nearby has primitive spots with services, though the walk-in dispersed area sees almost no use. Cell service is available. Toilets and trash service are on-site, and pets are allowed. The campground operates May 1 through September 30, so plan accordingly for shoulder-season visits.

I'm not sure you are supposed to camp here

I saw the other review and wanted to say, not sure why anyone would choose to stop here as there are very nice primitive campspots with services in the campground. I stayed 4 nights and never saw anyone in them.

Stop and sleep NCT access

North Country Trail access. There are parking spots available for overnight parking, but no services. There is also dispersed walk in camping. The view is a very pretty of a huge dam.
