Excellent campground near Tsali

Be sure to reserve far in advance, as this is a very popular campground! Great sites, and a short drive to Tsali Rec area. Biking, hiking, horse trails, as well as lake access. Observe the trail sign for proper access. Unfortunately, they alternate days for user groups for bikes and horses.

Uwharrie campground

The State Forest has camping. We used our pop-up with a generator in rustic locations. There are hiking, horse, OHV, dirt bike, ATV, and mountain bike trails.

Hanging Rock NC

Great open and spacious camping lots in the trees. They are also located along the hiking path for Moore's Wall and a short walk to the beach where you can swim out to a large floating platform or just hang out in the sand.

good east coast campground

Good location. easily access the beach.

Great family campground

A short 5min drive is all it takes to get to the beach. There's also a Food Lion and a Hardware store just 1mile away for the necessities you may need. Mostly quiet. Only dislike was the security light that was over our camper on site 21. full hook-up, which we only used water/electric. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. Great people!!

Excellent family campround

This campground is ON THE BEACH! Just a short walk over the dune and you will be at the water. Camped many times with a pop-up. I use the water and electric hook-ups. The restrooms/showers are decent. The people running the place are great!

Great park

This park is great having large sites and great trails for mountain biking.

Excellent park with a great mountain bike trail

This park has been used for the SC State Championship race for mountain biking numerous times. The trails are challenging for expert riders, but also good for beginners.

Awesome park location and staff

You will NOT regret visiting this park!!! This is a very well managed park with great staff. Plenty of access to the huge Murray Lake. Plenty of fishing and watersports activities. We visit multiple times a year. Normally every 4th of July for the amazing fireworks, and even for the solar eclipse a couple years ago.

Horrible location, tight unkept sites, noisy

Upon check-in all seemed to be going well…that is as I ignored driving thru the trailer park at the entrance to get into the campground…until I pulled up to my camp site. It was very narrow with and over grown tree on each side of the entrance to it. Luckily I keep a machete in my truck. I spent 5 minutes trimming the trees just so I could try to squeeze into the site. It was very difficult as others were parked along the narrow single lane road as they couldn't fit their vehicles on their sites with their campers. It took about 10 minutes to maneuver my pop-up camper into the site. Then… I had to squeeze my truck in best I could. I then had to trim yet more trees, otherwise they would've been scraping the roof and my awning all weekend. Then… I discovered those on the tent site next to me weren't happy having 1 picnic table so they took ours as well.

I will NOT be returning or suggesting anyone else to visit this campground!
