Some of the best dirk biking I’ve done! Every terrain you can think of… slick rock, clay, sand, soft dirt, hard dirt, and hill climbs!
Hikes, The river, the activities the camp ground provides!
Was only a 45 minute drive from my home growing up so went a lot on the weekends with my family. Hiking, biking, and relaxing!
This is a great spot located right below the ride in a little valley. The hike to get there isn’t to bad but the drive to the trail head can be a bit of a challenge. Nice size cabin with an out house and a nice size fire pit out front. Lots of room out side the cabin for tents and fire wood is provided. Get up early and hike up to the ridge and good chance you’ll see some mountain goats!
This is s hike in only spot but totally worth it! The cabin is great and lots of room outside to set up tents. Has firewood and an out house. The lake it beautiful and lots of wild life!
Not bad but better option if you continue up to the lake.
Quite and right in the lake. You can fish from the bank. Gets windy during the afternoon
Great spot on the river to fish! Lots of nice wholes walking both ways on the bank. Also very close to Ennis lake.
Went on a last minute get away for the weekend. Loved the spot camped right on Grass Hopper Creek and its walking distance to Bannack Ghost Town. Friendly Camp host and you can buy firewood from him as well!
This was a nice spot and has a trail that goes down to quake lake. However the camp at the host shook me down! For one night with two sites and 4 cars he charged me $90 and continually came by to harass us! Would go back if he is no longer there.
Crystal clear lake, good fishing, easy to get your boat in, group sites, day sites, and a rental shop what more can you ask for? A great spot have camped here many of times! Highly recommend!
Not a bad places to get away for a quick trip. Some good fishing on the Gallatin river and even a cool cave to check out on the right side of the camp ground.
