Great Last Minute Campground

My son and I decided to go camping and needed a place the same day. We were looking for a place that was wooded and near a river or stream and lucked up at Lazy J. The staff answered our call right away and were both friendly and informative. Our site was across the path from the French Broad, had water and power access and felt secluded and mountainous. The bath house was clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed staying here and plan to go back soon.

Memorable

I love lazy js campground it’s reasonably. Priced considering the customer service is second to none the people are so friendly there they have a way of making you feel like family and that’s why we decided to have our wedding on one of their river front campsites it was amazing and beautiful the staff was so helpful when things went kinda wrong just know they did everything in their power to help and that’s big in my book . They have very clean bath houses and again I can’t stress how valuable the staff is alone is best place to stay hands down we will continue to visit for years to come

Nice and quiet during winter

We stayed here in early December 2021. Sites are empty and the park itself is quiet. Hosts are very nice. Road noise is a problem if you’re in a tent, but not an issue so much after 10pm. Bath facilities are clean, and the showers are hot. Firewood is available in the office. Close to Brevard for shopping and close to hiking in Pisgah and DuPont.

Lots of Shade

Very nice host. Clean bathrooms. Our space was small but some are a good size. Dirt/leaf covered site. Many permanent residents so not the community of campers feel.

Beautiful for Fall camping

We did a spontaneous trip to the mountains and we found this nice camp site along the North Fork French Broad River and we camped right along the river. It felt like we were camping deep in the woods and the Fall leaves were still clinging to the trees and made it absolutely beautiful. We fished right next to our camp site and then relaxed with a camp fire listening to the sound of the River.

HWY 215 runs along the camp site but since it was the weekend there was very little traffic. Hosts were very friendly, bath house was clean, and had chickens running around the camp site. Only reason I gave the camp site a four star is because there is clutter around a old cabin and old camper, has a broken down sink and if cleaned up would look much better.

Camp site is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other areas of interest.

Fantastic private campground

I really loved it here. Hosts were super friendly and hospitable. Firewood sold on premises for a great value, and the campsites were nice and private as well as right on the river! Bathrooms and showers were both clean and well maintained. Awesome hike trail at the end of the grounds that leads further up to a deeper part of the river

Highly recommend!

Nice spot to camp

This place is close to some good hiking and not too far from towns. They have a playground which is cool and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, they do not allow hammocks any more since people were cutting off tree branches to make hanging hammocks easier.

We love this place

Good people run this place. Bath houses are very clean. We have tent camped and now taken our RV. Tent sites right on the river. You can tube down and get out right at your site. Three Falls waterfall is just up the road. You can get tubes at the office. Chickens and horses on site. Playground and lots of fun. Sites are wooded and quaint. Roads are a little narrow, but passable. One of our favorite sites.

Rural campground on a creek

This campground is located in Rosman NC, west of Brevard. We camped here as a base camp for day hikes in the area. It is very wooded, in a valley with a creek running alongside the tent camping sites. The scenery is gorgeous and horses and chickens were sweet. The tent sites are small, smaller than average park campsites. We woke to the smell of our neighbor smoking and coughing throughout the night.

The facilities are good, nice hot water in sinks and showers. Clean bathrooms etc. We also had a spigot and plug near our campsite if we needed them. The people were extremely friendly and kind.

We like for our kids to be able to run, play and explore while camping and this was not the site for that. Across the creek is a busy road which was not busy during the night, but had constant travel during the day.
