From Raleigh/RTP: Follow US 1 south approximately 25 miles. Take Pea Ridge Road Exit, #81. At the stop sign, turn Left onto Pea Ridge Road. Travel to end of Pea Ridge Road (approximately 1 mile) and turn right at stop sign onto Old US 1. Travel approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Moncure School Road at Ray's Supermarket. Jordan Dam RV Park/Campground is located 2/10 mile down the road on the right. From Pinehurst/Sanford: Follow US 1 North approximately 30 miles. Take Deep River Road Exit, #79. At stop sign turn right. Travel approximately 2 1/2 miles and turn left onto onto Moncure School Road at Ray's Supermarket. Jordan Dam RV Park/Campground is located 2/10 mile down the road on the right. From Chapel Hill: Take US 15/501 South out of Pittsboro. Turn left at stoplight on to Moncure Pittsboro Road. Travel approximately 8 miles to stop sign. Turn left onto Old US 1. Travel approximately 1 1/2 miles and turn left onto Moncure School Road at Ray's Supermarket. Jordan Dam RV Park/Campground is located 2/10 mile down the road on the right.

Great no frills campground.

We stayed at Jordan Dam RV Park for a year while waiting for our house to be built.  The campground is a great, quiet place.  There are not a lot of recreational amenities, but there is pond for fishing.  The site maintenance man, Earl, will direct you into your site, which was a bit tricky in the site we were in.

The RV Park has on-site propane filling, and if you leave your tank on your picnic table, Earl will come and fill it.  This was extremely convenient during the winter months, when we were filling one of our tanks every few days.

If you are looking for someplace close to Jordan Dam boat launch, or are looking for a long term site, this is for you.

Exceptional RV Parking Campground

While a bit out-of-the-way, if you’ve got one of those incredibly large mobile homes on wheels, then this particular well-shaded, quiet and rural RV location just off of HWY 1near Moncure and quite near majestic Jordan Lake may just be the perfect spot for you. 

With ample slanted and elongated parking lanes for your parking pleasure, all of the sites come equipped with the typical 30/ 50 amp electrical hook-ups, waste disposal and water connections. There’s the standard picnic table, fire ring/BBQ, garbage receptacles and even a community BBQ.  There are both well-shaded sites as well as those that don't have any.  My personal recommendation would be to get one further in the back nearest the pond (where you'll actually find real ducks!).  

The hosts are incredibly nice and offer pricing by the night, week and month. Overall, the community is inviting and friendly and there’s at times some planned activities throughout the week (check with the front desk). While there's not a whole lot of commerce in these parts, nearby there is Ray's Supermarket, Jordan Dam Mini-Mart/Grill and a host of restaurants and stores over in Pittsboro. There's free WiFi, laundry service, propane tank onsite as well as little store on the campground premises itself and even a small fish pond.
