No frills

This is a very small campground located alongside a small airstrip. It is clean and the folks are friendly. It appears that most sites are rented to long-term/permanent campers. They are putting in new sites and rebuilding a local favorite restaurant that recently burned down (the restaurant is located right beside the campground). The airstrip has little traffic; it’s more of a community airport with homes that have their own hangars. Sites have full hookups; there are no restrooms/showers.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION

While the owner was accommodating when we booked this RV site near Pinehurst, NC, he neglected to tell us that most of the sites were newly excavated. MUD, MUD, MUD everywhere ! I am sure it will be nice when it is completed BUT until then, it is not worth the $40 he is charging !

A short walk to good eating, and nice airfield. Very limited number of sites, no more than 20 at the most. Most look long term.
