Roomy

This campground while a little on the pricy side has phenomenal spots! They are big and private! I will definitely be coming back!

Great campsite

When you first arrive at this beautiful camp check in is super easy and they even show you exactly where you need to be. It's an absolutely stunning site with lots of things to do. Nestled between Mt Greylock and a nice little town so you can still get things if you need. It's the perfect location.…

Good for a weekend getaway

Site F -90- there is a slope on the site with limited privacy. I suggest avoiding this site but there are quite a few other sites that looked nice and a stream flowing through.

Get ready to walk!

Okay so. My friend and I were desperately looking for a place to spend the weekend, and with Covid making it a little more difficult to rely on walking in and finding a campsite, we made a blind reservation for site 8 on Grout pond. Here's what we wish we knew before hand:

Although BEAUTIFUL,…

Great park expensive for visitors

A lot of amenities bathrooms and showers well taking care of. Only problem is it cost $20 a person to come visit.

First camp out of the year

Place is beautiful. This was an early in the year trip so I was just about the only person on the grounds. There’s a fabulous playground right across from a nice in ground pool near the main entrance. I stayed on the pond. They have a bunch of 4 wheeled wagons to help you transport your gear to…

Nice quiet campground

We were looking for a quiet place for a week away during the summer of Covid, 2020. I am overly cautious and wanted a place that wouldn’t have a ton of people camping in close quarters. We happened to get a week of an almost empty campground. It was perfect. More rustic than an average rv park,…

secluded spot on a great little pond

I have yet to stay here, but I have explored and walked the camp and ate lunch at the beach.

What I saw was nice, it is a rustic campground with NFS rangers checking in once in a while.  The sites are well dispersed and private.

I'm excited to camp here next season.

Best kept secret. Tucked away

Awesome camping resort. Seasonal rates are excellent. We stayed from April until October then decided to stay over winter. They have a small winter section. You'll have the entire mountain side all to yourself! Snowshoe, cross country ski. Winter campfires. Owners Mike and Sherri are great.…

One of the best NY State campgrounds

The campground is located on the shores of Northern Lake George (Huage NY). It's worth noting that the campground is located about 30 miles North of the village of Lake George. You are a few miles from Ticonderoga NY (which has a super convenient Walmart). Before the pandemic, the…

You should camp here!

We stayed here for 2 nights in July. Everything was very clean. Our site felt secluded even though there were other people camping nearby.

Overall, nice.

We spent a relatively quiet long weekend here on loop F 97, which is a bit removed from the main campground. It was a bit noisy on Saturday night but nothing disturbing.  This site also is bordered by a small stream so expect mosquitoes and the occasional visit from wildlife (we had raccoons at our…

Tented here for long weekend... no wireless really, which disappointed. Few flat, even spots but we liked #136. Office staff seemed disinterested in helping for some reason. They had kayak and canoe rentals available. However, check the plug at the rear of the kayak!! Annoying shots fired randomly…

Decent camping!

Pretty standard Adirondack camping. Didn’t get to camp at the actual sites themselves because it was a bit late in the season but I found a pull off on the same road and was able to have a little fire on the beach and crash in the van just fine. Pretty close to a road but not a busy one at all.

quaint but muddy

The park is a quaint little place that reminds me of an older state park. No full hookups, sites are decently sized for the most part. The roads within the park are very narrow and washed out in places. The 30 amp electric had high voltage and my surge protector wouldn't let it through, I used the…
