"The site was fine, fire pit, primitive spot so no services. We arrived late at night so couldn't see so well but stopped in a clearing on the road toward the coordinates," writes Rose S.

Kid-friendly activities: Look for parks with organized programs. "This is an awesome place to camp. New improvements to the park have been made the last few year! They runs daily activities you can go to and learn about different things in nature," Kelly B. says about Allegany State Park.

Dumping stations: Many campgrounds offer sanitary dump facilities even without full hookups. "Very nice quiet small wooded campground. No hookups, about 3-4 fresh water spigots, 1 dump station and dumpster. Water pressure was very low and took a while to fill tank," Jennifer K. notes about Hearts Content.
Site dimensions: At Darien Lakes State Park, RV campers will find suitable spaces. "if you like a park that is near an amusement park and not that quiet this is for you. You are still out in nature and have those aspects but you dont get that lost into nature here to me," explains Adam R.
