Hejamada Camping Resort

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are available at Hejamada Camping Resort, a drive-in campground outside campgrounds near Montezuma that runs from May 1 through October 15. Sites accommodate RVs up to 70 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer, and the property includes a pub, showers, and WiFi. Past visitors have noted that sites near the pub can be noisy after dark and lack shade, so requesting a site away from that area may be worth the effort when booking. Sewage odors and mosquitoes have also been flagged as concerns during peak summer weekends.

Mosquitos and Sewer Smells

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and ended up leaving a day early due to sewage smells from the leech fields, an insane amount of mosquitos, and rude staff. It’s a shame as the campground has so much potential but it appears that the owners have lost interest.

Large campground

They have a lot of space and different types of sites. You get to enjoy nature. They have have a pub onsite. The bathrooms were older, but clean. Our site was on the circle near the pub so it was loud after dark and there was no shade however the large circle offered a lot of space for kids & dogs to play.
