Easy access from Rt 80 and located close to the Lakota Wolf Preserve. With tours leaving them campground twice a day on both Saturday and Sundays for the wolf preserve, I was glad there was camping so close. The camping selection of sites is excellent with Cabins, Glamping tents, primitive tent sites and of course RV sites. I choose to stay in one of the glamping tents and was pleasantly surprised at the space inside the tent even with a double bed and two other fold out couches to beds. Water is available at the site. A small lake for swimming and boating. And lots of trails linking you to the Delaware river water gap area.
Looking for adventure this is a place to find it. Along with staying at this peaceful wooded campground, one can “mine” Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals adjacent to the campground via a bridge over the stream.
I enjoyed a site next to the stream. The store is small but had what you may need. The grandchildren had a great time and love looking and finding Herkimer Diamonds.
A good place to camp while visiting the park. With an abundance of natural beauty and waterfalls to see, this campground provides you with a nice way to unwind from your hike and relax. No amenities except for a bathroom with shower and a place to do dishes, so come prepared. A short drive will get you to a store for supplies and firewood however.
mak sure which site you book as some of them are walk-ins. A night sky that you can see the Milky Way and more stars then I remember. Wildlife is all around and the area offers a variety of activities within a short drive. The host of the campground at the time of our stay was more than helpful delivering the firewood and ice both of which you can buy there.
That it is a beautiful campground well maintained and one of the nicest bathhouses in any state park I have been to. Came in spring this year and will be going back in August for more fun. The children love it and can’t wait to come back too.
Make a reservation way ahead of your date as this campground is very popular and sites book early. It has sites to accommodate any R.V. and lot of tent sites. The lake has lots to offer. Swimming, boating, fishing, wildlife watching and a big sky view for star gazing.
A quiet, peaceful campground. The area has lots of hikes to offer including the Alan Seeger State Forest, Midstate Trail and several others. It’s a bit primitive having only bathrooms and water in several spots in the campground. It’s a beautiful natural are and some sites are very private. Make sure you bring everything you need as the isn’t a store nearby.
it offers a variety of camping experiences including teepees. A short 10 minute drive to Cape May beaches. Lots of activities at the camping resort and swimming either in one of three pools or a fresh water lake. I totally loved the teepee and exceeded my expectations. Everything was fantastic.
Fun for the whole family. Lots to do and the beautiful beaches of Cape May, New Jersey are a short 10 minute drive. The different types of camping/glamping experiences exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed the Deer Crossing Teepee which had far more luxuries than any other glamping I have done. Highly recommend this campground resort.
A beautiful wooded campground close to the beaches of Cape May, New Jersey. Very family oriented and really a great place for adults too. We stayed in a teepee and it is one of the coolest places I have camped. These days I like glamping and this was the best experience yet!
