Overview
Bear Creek Lake Resort is a private RV resort set on 750 acres of forested hills and meadows in Franklinville, Cattaraugus County, New York, about 20 minutes from Ellicottville. The property features a private 15–20 acre lake and is geared toward RV campers, ATV enthusiasts, and families seeking an outdoor adventure resort experience. It reopened in 2025 under new ownership after a multi-year closure, following a $5 million renovation of the former Woods at Bear Creek Glamping Resort.
Facilities
All RV sites are full hookup (FHU). The property includes a renovated sports courts complex (basketball, pickleball, roller hockey), an Olympic-sized heated swimming pool, a welcome center/resort store, and a large recreation center building with a stage and fireplace. Showers are available on site. Rustic cabin rentals were listed as coming soon as of late 2025.
Recreation
The lake supports fishing (bass, trout, perch, sunfish), kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, with paddle equipment available at the welcome center. The property has over 40 miles of private ATV, dirt bike, and mountain bike trails open exclusively to registered guests, as well as hiking trails. Campfire pits are available.
