Description
The forested slopes of Lincoln National Forest near Alamo Peak rise around this flat roadside pullout at roughly 9,200 feet in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico. FR 634 — a single-lane track with a handful of potholes — leads in without demanding high clearance, making it reachable by 2WD rigs, and the wide corner placement gives larger units room to maneuver. Traffic on this stretch stays light even on fall weekends, and the road beyond the spot grows noticeably rougher, keeping the immediate area quiet.
