Road access runs for a couple of miles along FSR 223, with the first mile or two wide enough to pull in a trailer. Multiple established fire rings mark the dispersed sites along the route. Hikers and OHV riders both use this area of Lincoln National Forest outside Sunspot, New Mexico, making it a reasonable base for either activity. Bring water, as no services are available on site.
