Description
Along the Eagle Lakes Road (FR 120) corridor through the Lincoln National Forest, this cluster of dispersed sites sits in piñon-juniper hill country south of the Rio Ruidoso drainage, at around 5,900 feet elevation. Multiple clearings spread along the road — several with existing fire rings — and the terrain is quiet enough that wildlife is a regular presence. The access track has seen washouts and can be rough and narrow, making high-clearance vehicles the practical choice; cell signal is unreliable.
