Mixed Feelings

My family and friends were drawn to this campground for its exciting pool and convenient location, and those aspects definitely lived up to expectations. However, our campsite was not level, and the sites were very close together with little privacy. We were tent camping but the area we were in, while a tent site, is best for RVs.

The bathroom facilities could also use some attention– a loose toilet and a broken hand dryer weren't ideal. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but these conditions kept it from being great.

Very nice campground

Very friendly staff and the pool was amazing for the kiddos.
Zero Verizon service but Wi-Fi at the pool for getting some work done.

Pretty good

This campground was pretty decent. Some of the drawbacks were not some of the campgrounds fault. The first part of the week was pretty quiet the second part we had some very noisy neighbors. The other issue is people driving well over the 5 mph speed limit which then leaves people standing in a cloud of dust. The one thing that I thought was annoying was having to wear a bracelet, I get it you don’t want random people showing up to use your amenities but it’s inconvenient. Ok rant over! The area is beautiful, our campsite was very level and I enjoyed that they cleaned the fire pit before we arrived. I had an issue with the sewer hook up. The pipe was below grade and you had to be careful not to drop rocks down the pipe. I had to dig around it to get my adapter installed, no big deal. All in all it was a nice stay although I think their sister site in Lake George does a little better job.

Wow The Pool is Amazing

The Pool is Huge! Nice sites with great fire pits! we will go back!

This Campground is for families! So, if you are older with no children this campground might not be for you. Lots of noise from young children.

Big Family Fun

Pros: lots to do, family oriented, friendly staff, awesome pool with a pirate ship that has 2 slides, night swimming, entertainment on some nights, big sites, fishing, camp store with decent prices, poolside cafe (a little on the pricey side, I.e. $3+ for coffee), big campground, playground, lots of nature & wildlife, good space in between campsites, pavilion, arcade, hot showers, water sites available, very clean sites & clean grounds.

Cons: One of the nights, our family was woken up by party-er’s @ 2:45 a.m. & they were up for quite awhile. We expressed our concern the next day to staff (apparently we weren’t the only ones to let staff know) & it did not happen the subsequent nights. Some of the sites were not really level. If you are a mask-wearer, then you might be put off by the lack of masks being worn by both staff & other campers, as the campground is very verbal about being anti-maskers. Some of the bathrooms are not the cleanest, some people speed around quite fast on golf carts so keep an eye out. If you are in dire need of WiFi, it is nearly non-existent on the grounds, you can get it a little here & there in the pool area.

Rebooked for round three next year

My young family have camped here twice. Both times were very different experiences, but overall very positive. Just because there are a few, I will mention the cons first. -Noise level isn’t monitored by staff, so don’t expect it quiet at quiet time. -Very expensive -The hilly terrain is insaneeee! If you have never been before, book a sight as close as possible to the pool and office, because the further you get, the higher the altitude. We chose bottom of the hill sites so we lucked out but it could’ve been very difficult to navigate with two/three very young kids. -The ‘bistro’ is a waste of money. They didn’t butter my toast.

Pros: -It is absolutely GORGEOUS up here. Stunning. The sites are private and wooded, the grounds are beautiful, the natural pond is a great morning excursion. It’s one of the prettiest campgrounds I’ve ever seen. -I’ll mention the privacy of sites again because it truly is worth mentioning. Avoid 37 and 40 though- expert opinion. -The pool really is as awesome as it looks. -The playground is amazing.

Overall we love it here. We now take it for what it is and we plan our sites accordingly for sure. We’ve brought another family into our circle here and would love to expand even more! It’s a beautiful place and I highly recommend.

“Glamping” at its finest

Came here year after year for the culture and ability to entertain without leaving! On premises hiking trails, pool (with water slide), and arcade. When you don’t feel like driving to a trailhead, or into town to do some shopping, this place is perfect for hanging at the site and letting the kids run off on their own. Sites are generally well wooded, well sized, and a bit close together. Water and electric are available, to complete your glamorous car camping experience. It’s a great place to introduce someone to the idea of camping without making them hike a mile with 40% of their body weight on their back. Haha! No cell reception last time I was there, but they had pay phones! REAL pay phones!

Will come again

Place was clean, staff was friendly, pool is amazing (looks like a theme park), store if you forgot anything.

Plots were clean and roomy with trees and shaded.

Had an amazing rock fire-pit.

The only thing is that this place is very large and has lots of plots, so can be rather busy and not very “private”.

But if you like this kind of thing you will have a great time.

The Pool of Your Dreams!

Moose Hillock Campground in Warren, NH is my family's favorite camping spot. We are tent campers and we love the private sites and sandy pad for our tent. My husband loves cooking in the stone campfire ring.

The pool is our favorite place to be! It is large, clean and so much fun! The pirate ship, lagoon and water slides keep my 3 kids busy for hours. The pool is heated and so large that it never feels crowded. I personally love the lounge chairs and enjoyable music pool side. You can grab a snack or drink at the pool side cafe so you don't have to walk all the way back to your site.

The playground is a hotspot for my kids as well. It is a wooden playground that has a pirate ship and train as well as swings and slides.

The bathrooms are clean and there are several throughout the campground. The showers are warm and clean as well. It does cost .25 to use a shower.

There are wonderful activities for kids on the weekend and great themed weekends.

Overall this is a great campground for families or anyone who enjoys a beautiful campground with an amazing pool!

Spacious sites, great pool

We had fun here, the sites are huge and very private. The staff was plentiful, and courteous. The best feature is the huge pool, complete with faux pirate ship and two water slides. The campground has weekend activities for kids and is well located to enjoy many of the highlights of central NH.

The negative I found with this campground was mainly that the bathrooms clearly have plumbing issues and toilets are were frequently clogged, also the main bath house seemed to have drainage issues and the floor in the stalls was constantly wet. Beyond that, the requirement for all parties to wear wristbands for the duration of the stay was annoying, I could see for kids, but for adults it's a bit much. That coupled with the ridiculous replacement rule on the wristbands ($10/day of your remaining stay if lost) very much enhanced the annoyance this caused. Finally there is absolutely no cellular service anywhere within 20 minutes of this campground, while this is nice to unplug, the seriously lousy Wi-Fi only offered at the pool area made booking/finding activities difficult.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, but are on the fence about returning.

Great Pool and beautiful sites!

Great pool and Campground! What we loved about this campground was that they had a huge pool and water slides. Our site( camper trailer) was one of the largest sites we’ve stayed in. They also did a great job of maintaining the beauty of the mountains and landscape. The Campground is located in a cell phone dead area. WiFi is only provides at the pool area. We were there during a Themed Weekend( Fri/ Sat) so they had a few family friendly events. Daily activities are not scheduled. The reason why I didn’t rate it 5 Stars was that the bath house we used seemed to be having issues for most of the week. On many occasions the toilets were clogged. We immediately brought it to their attention and it was quickly fixed only to have issues the next day. All of the toilets were low flow so the handle needed to be held down for an extended period. I would think that with the volume of tent sites and people relying on daily use they would have commercial rated toilets.

Great family friendly campground

Pros:

beautiful spacious flat sites

clean nice bathrooms

pool

river/creek

store

playground

cons:

on a hill so it can be difficult especially for little legs going up and down.

The bathrooms are up the hill

we really enjoyed our stay. It was only a 2 night stay for us but we plan to come back with our two little ones. It is a resort so it’s not the same as going someplace remote. There are lots of people but we find it’s a good balance between what my husband and I enjoy about camping and what the kids will enjoy.

Moose Hillock NH

We have visited here a few times now and it is an amazing campground! All the sites are oversized, wooded, and private with the best fireplaces made from huge rocks. We have stayed in 3 different sections and they are all great with my preference being site 20 with the brook running behind your site which is on a small but nice nature trail. The cabins here are huge and have all the amenities!

Everybody here has been really friendly and the huge pool with a giant pirate ship in it is great for the whole family. This place has it all fishing, hiking, biking, swimming. Take a look at the website where you can get all the info. It is a little pricey but worth it.

I would like to add that they do come around and ask you to be quiet around 10 pm but have never put out my fire and have been very coutteous and as long as your not too loud they leave you alone unlike some places we have been.
