Cell service disappears well before you reach Moose Hillock Camping Resort, and the WiFi on-site is limited to the pool area. That detail matters here, because the campground sits in the hills outside Warren in a forested stretch of central New Hampshire where the terrain rises sharply the further you get from the main facilities. Sites are wooded and generally spacious, with good separation between neighbors. Several reviewers single out the stone fire rings as a standout feature, and one notes that site 20 has a brook running behind it along a short nature trail.
The pool is the clear center of activity. It includes a large pirate ship structure with two water slides, a poolside cafe for snacks and drinks, and lounge seating. It draws crowds, especially on weekends and during themed events, so expect a busy atmosphere rather than a quiet one. As Jessica W. notes, "noise level isn't monitored by staff, so don't expect it quiet at quiet time." A playground, fishing, on-site hiking trails, and an arcade round out the on-site options, making this campground a reasonable fit for families with young children.
Terrain is notably hilly. Sites closer to the pool and main office are easier to navigate, particularly for families with small kids or those without golf carts. Some sites have leveling issues, and at least one reviewer flagged a sewer hookup that required minor digging to access. The campground accommodates RVs up to 62 feet with full hookups available. Bathrooms have drawn mixed feedback, with cleanliness varying by location and time of stay.
Rates run $49 to $129 per night, and the season spans mid-May through mid-October. Reservations are available and worth booking in advance for summer weekends. Nearby alternatives include Scenic View Campground and Swain Brook Campground for those looking for a different pace. Moose Hillock rewards campers who come prepared to unplug and stay on-site.
