The sound of a babbling brook defines the experience at Pine Haven, where riverside sites provide direct water access along a thigh-deep river suitable for swimming and dog play. This privately managed campground operates from May through October in a forested setting outside Wentworth, accommodating both RVs up to 50 feet and tent campers seeking water-adjacent spots.

Sites near the river feature steep slopes down to the water, creating natural separation between camping areas. The campground includes full hookups for RVs, clean bathhouses with quarter-free showers, and a small pool. Fire rings come equipped with cooking grates, and an open field provides space for stargazing away from tree cover. Cell service remains limited throughout the property, contributing to the remote atmosphere.

Brandon C. notes "the sites near the river are really nice" and praises the adequate privacy between neighbors despite the compact layout. Weekend visits may include noise from a nearby ATV race track, which some campers find disruptive during afternoon hours. The facility maintains clean restrooms even during busy periods, though the campground can feel crowded during peak season. For additional camping options in the region, consider campgrounds near Rumney.

Book reservations in advance for riverside sites, as these fill quickly during summer months due to their direct water access and enhanced privacy.

Many campers appreciated the riverside sites with creek views and clean facilities including quarter-free showers. Some visitors noted noise from nearby ATV racing, though most found good privacy between sites.

it was a clean facility with a beautiful spot on the river, it was a little crowded for our liking but everyone was nice and we enjoyed our stay!

New favorite campground!

Loved our time here! We had a site right on the river and the view was amazing. The sites are pretty well spaced apart and well kept. The bathrooms were decently clean and the showers did not need quarters (which was a huge plus). Will definitely be coming here again

Would return

(As a Tent Camper)

This campground is a great place to bring a dog, especially if they enjoy running/playing in a river.

The sites near the river are really nice, a big of a steep slope down to the river. The river is about thigh deep and you can easily walk in it/swim at potions.

The pool is small but nice.

The fire places are really nice with a cooking grate on top.

The night sky is lovely to look at in the middle of the field they have.

There was adequate privacy between neighbors.

We would come again.

Pinehaven stay

We had a nice tent site by the brook. Booking the site was seamless to do online and the campground hosts quickly answered a question when I sent them an email. We didn’t have much cell service at the campground, which didn’t bother us. The bathhouse was clean for a busy weekend. I took off a star because when we came back to our campsite on Saturday afternoon, there was an ongoing loud motor noise of ATVs racing, as there is a race track nearby. We later saw it advertised near the campground entrance.

Pine Haven Campground, Wentworth, NH

Multiple RVs, we were the only tent site at the time which made it very secluded and nice. Site was directly next to a babbling brook. There was a storm forecasted, and the groundskeeper told us if it got bad she could open the store for us to stay in. We had a van to sleep in so it was not necessary, however the notion was appreciated. Plenty of room for a van and tent.

A place to stay the night

We thought we would be able to see the mountain area from this campground, though it wasn't close enough. Our cell service was completely gone here, and it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. The creek wasn't anything special, though it was nice that they had a store and laundry.
