Theodore Basin BLM Dispersed — Pine Forest Range

Description

High in Nevada's Pine Forest Range at roughly 7,400 feet, Theodore Basin opens onto sweeping basin views and genuine dark-sky solitude — the Milky Way is a centerpiece on clear nights. A fire ring and picnic table mark the main site on the south-facing slope, with shade cover available and a seasonal creek nearby; old two-track roads lead easily up to the ridge to the south. The approach from the Onion Valley Reservoir side is rough and heavily washed out, demanding 4WD and high clearance; access via NV-140 from the north is the more forgiving route.
