The campground provides restroom facilities with showers and a dump station for visitor convenience. Sites cost between $0-$10 per night, and reservations can be made in advance.
The reservoir location supports fishing and swimming activities, with the campground positioned near the water's edge. Pets are welcome throughout the facility, and campfires are permitted at individual sites. Spring Canyon Campground — Swanson Reservoir SRA provides additional camping less than half a mile away for groups needing multiple sites.
Description
Swanson Reservoir State Recreation Area is the largest of four recreation areas in the southwest part of the state. Located near Trenton, Swanson consists of a 4,974 acre lake and 3,957 acres of land. The area offers fishing, boating, camping, concessions and hunting in season among other activities.
Park entry permit required on all vehicles. No livestock allowed. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6'. No golf carts/ATV's.
