Decent

It was a decent stop on our way to Glacier. Glad we didn’t spend more than a night. Seemed to have extended campers living there. Looked a little sketchy at first but camp site was good.

Had swings but nothing spectacular.

A pretty darn good camping experience

We rolled up in a 37’ motorhome fairly late at night. It was great to have an accurate/easy to understand camp map from the website and we had no problem getting settled. The place is big enough for a big rig but there’s not an overabundance of room for privacy. I gave it a 4 because I believe a 5 should represent a remarkable and exceptional camping experience. However, I’d give the bathrooms a 4.5. They’re nice and clean and updated. My only complaint on the bathrooms is that the timer on the lights and fan doesn’t last very long— so if you’re hunkering down for a “code 200,” taking a shower, or just need some quiet “me time,” the motion sensor lights will cut off earlier than you’d prefer. As I “sit” and write this, the lights have cut off for a 2nd time. Bummer. Maybe you could use the buddy system to avoid such an experience? Overall, we’ve enjoyed our time here at Three Bears and would definitely come back again if the wind blows us towards Kalispell in the future. Thanks for reading. Bro hugs to you and also, watch out for deer, eh!! (That’s the Wisconsin “I love you.”)

Lots of Noise, Lots of Rowdy Kids

Needed just a fast stop for the night, in a TT, after getting repairs.

Lots of noise, loud music, loud motors, cars in and out that obviously didn’t stay there off of the back of camp, and just loud racket until late at night.

Just a basic setup, but good shade. Connections were appropriate, pull in sites accommodated a standard pickup and 29 ft TT.

Clear, Open, Well-Maintained

2 1/2 stars. Keep in mind, I’m writing this as a TENT camper. While this place is off the road 100 yards, there’s still a lot of traffic noise from two sides. You’re used to this if you have an RV, but here it’s a little worse as the the tent sites are on open land and right off the entrance road. The stream next to the tent sites is nice though. The name of this place was changed to Three Bears RV Park in 2014, according to the friendly desk guy. There’s a lot of pride here - all the buildings are well-maintained. It’s also close to a great fishing hole down the road and a winery around the corner.

Frequently Asked Questions

What amenities and facilities are available at Three Bears Family Camping & RV Park?

Three Bears Family Camping & RV Park offers basic but functional amenities. The campground provides RV hookups and connections suitable for various rig sizes. Tent sites are available in an open area of the property. The grounds feature good shade trees throughout, which is beneficial during hot weather. For families with children, the park has playground swings. The campground maintains a website with an accurate, easy-to-understand camp map to help with navigation and site selection. While not extensive in recreational facilities, the park serves as a practical base for exploring the Kalispell area and nearby attractions.

What do reviews say about Three Bears RV Park in Kalispell, MT?

Three Bears RV Park offers varied experiences depending on your camping setup. For tent campers, the sites are on open land near the entrance road with noticeable traffic noise from two sides. RVers will find the park accommodates larger rigs including 37' motorhomes with adequate hookups and connections. The campground provides good shade but offers limited privacy between sites. Noise can be an issue, with reports of loud music, vehicle traffic, and general activity continuing into the night. The park appears to have some extended-stay residents. While functional as an overnight stop, particularly when visiting Glacier National Park, it may not be ideal for longer stays if seeking tranquility.

How does Three Bears RV Park compare to other RV parks near Kalispell, Montana?

Three Bears RV Park positions itself as a functional rather than luxury camping option near Kalispell. Unlike some of the more remote or scenic parks in the region, this campground is situated closer to roads, resulting in more traffic noise than wilderness-focused alternatives. The park accommodates large RVs with appropriate connections, making it accessible for most rigs. While it offers basic amenities like hookups and playground equipment, it doesn't feature the extensive recreational facilities or natural settings that premium parks in the area might provide. The campground serves well as an overnight or short-term base for exploring Glacier National Park, but travelers seeking a destination campground with more privacy or amenities might prefer other options in the Kalispell area.
