Sitting atop Werner Peak in Stillwater State Forest, this converted fire lookout gives campers panoramic sightlines toward Glacier National Park and the Flathead Valley. The structure has been retrofitted with propane appliances, including a stove, heat, and wall-mounted lamps, making it functional for multi-night stays. Reservations are available, and the site allows pets. The road up requires decent ground clearance, though reviewers note a vehicle like a Subaru can manage it. Campers who want to see the sunrise over Glacier should plan to wake before dawn. Those planning a trip can also browse campgrounds near Olney or nearby options like Moose Lake to the northeast.
