SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Spring Creek sits within Lewis & Clark National Forest at roughly 5,300 feet elevation, with Spring Creek running through the 10-site layout. Most sites have direct creek access. The access route involves a narrow paved road, a wider graded gravel section, and a sharp downhill turn, so drivers should approach with care. RVs up to 35 feet are permitted, though site sizes are compact. No bear boxes are on-site despite bear activity in the area. Hunters and anglers make up a notable share of visitors. Campers planning a broader trip through the region can find campgrounds near Martinsdale or check Camping area 6393A about two miles north as an alternative.

Numerous guests pointed out the excellent $7 pricing and scenic creek setting. A common theme was appreciation for the no-frills camping experience with basic facilities and mixed tree coverage.

Nicely tucked away

Used by many as a hunting and fishing camp. We found is as a great no frills camp. We enjoyed the hike up the mountain for some awesome views.

Sites by Water

Most sites have water access. The water is a creek (no fish). The water is refreshing. The sites are a nice mix of trees and open space. If you have starlink you can get a good view of the sky.

Beautiful remote campground

This campground has 10 sites with Spring Creek running through it. The price was $7 per site. Our site #5 backed up to the creek. You need to drive up a narrow paved road then a wider graded gravel road then make a sharp turn down to the right. Sites aren’t big but we did see some hunters in a small trailer. Elevation is 5300’ and there are bears but no bear boxes. One vault toilet near us and no garbage. This was a pretty campground and we would return. It was one of our favorite places to stay on a recent 48 day camping trip.
