5300-foot elevation. 10 campsites in the riparian zone around Spring Creek. Wading in the creek, or fishing for brook trout. Trailhead from campground is for a spur on a 15-mile multiple-use trail.
Bears may frequent the area; keep all food out of sight in approved containers and remove all food from area after eating. Mandatory food storage is required.
This campground has 10 sites with Spring Creek running through it. The price was $7 per site. Our site #5 backed up to the creek. You need to drive up a narrow paved road then a wider graded gravel road then make a sharp turn down to the right. Sites aren’t big but we did see some hunters in a small trailer. Elevation is 5300’ and there are bears but no bear boxes. One vault toilet near us and no garbage. This was a pretty campground and we would return. It was one of our favorite places to stay on a recent 48 day camping trip.
