Shady Rest RV Park

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Shady Rest RV Park sits in Glasgow, Montana, a working stop for travelers crossing the northeastern part of the state. The park accommodates rigs up to 86 feet with full hookups including electric, water, and sewer, and stays open year-round. Tree cover is a defining feature here. The name is accurate.

Cleanliness comes up consistently across reviews. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities all get positive marks, and the grounds are well-maintained. Cell service is generally strong, though the onsite WiFi can be weak depending on the site. Several visitors note the park works well as an overnight stop between destinations, particularly for those heading toward Glacier country. Campers planning to explore campgrounds just outside Nashua will find Shady Rest a reasonable staging point along that corridor.

One practical tip worth noting: call ahead rather than booking through a third-party platform. Reviewers found the owner more responsive by phone and saved on platform fees that way. Cottonwood Inn and RV Park sits less than half a mile west for campers who need an alternative if Shady Rest is full. Also worth knowing: GPS directions using the street address may route you into a different park nearby, so search by name instead.

"Perfect for a quick stop overnight," notes Christie D., and that framing holds up across the reviews. Pets are welcome, reservations are available, and the park gives travelers a clean, shaded place to reset before the next leg.

Call instead of booking online

We stayed overnight at the Shady Rest on our way to Glacier. Privately owned by a nice couple. Great rate with full hookup and very quiet. Met our need. TIP: Call instead of booking online. The owner Cody is wearing many hats and doesn’t have a chance to check internet. Plus, she’s way nicer to talk to and it saved $5 platform fee from the reservation company.

A Shady Rest

The name fits this campgrounds perfectly. It is a great place to stop on your way to something or if you are attending an event in the area.

It has a lot of shady, full hookups, clean showers and bathhouse, a store, and even a place to wash clothes. It does have wifi but it was weak at my site #23. My cellular service was strong. The owners are wonderful. One note, if using GPS to find use the name. The address may get you into a different park that is hard to turn around in.

If you need a safe, clean stop this is what the Shady Rest Campground is.
