Within Flathead National Forest, Schnaus Cabin operates as a US Forest Service campground that accommodates RVs up to 50 feet. The $65 nightly rate reflects its cabin-style accommodation rather than traditional tent camping. Located in forested terrain near water features including a creek, river, and lake, the site provides toilet facilities and allows campfires.

Reservations are available through the forest service system, though pets are not permitted on the property. The drive-in access makes it suitable for larger RVs, while the proximity to water sources supports fishing activities. Campers exploring sites around Flathead National Forest will find this option works well for those seeking forest service accommodations with water access and RV-friendly infrastructure.

Fee Info

Rental fee is $65 per night and there is a maximum stay of three consecutive nights with a total of seven days per calendar year. Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather, road conditions, or too much or little snow, etc. Federal Pass discounts do not apply.
