Kading Cabin

Vehicle access ends at this remote Forest Service campground along the upper Little Blackfoot River, where the only traffic comes from fellow campers and trailhead users. Kading Cabin operates 11 sites with picnic tables and metal fire rings, plus vault toilets and water available at the cabin across from the entrance. Recent beetle-kill tree removal has opened up the formerly dense forest canopy.

The campground connects to a trailhead that follows the Little Blackfoot River five miles to Blackfoot Meadows, a noted fly fishing destination. A small public corral and horse watering troughs accommodate equestrian visitors. No RVs are permitted, and pets are not allowed. The facility operates from Memorial Day through October at $30-45 per night, with reservations available for those seeking guaranteed access to this end-of-road location.
