Hoodoo Loop Road Dispersed — Kootenai NF

On a elevated point above the Tobacco River corridor in the Kootenai National Forest near Rexford, this dispersed area wraps water on nearly three sides and sits within easy reach of kayak launches and fishing access that draw steady summer crowds. Multiple flat tent pads are tucked across the point, though the entrance off Hoodoo Loop Road is steep and the approach road is enough of a challenge to keep large rigs away. The Pacific Northwest Trail passes just south of the site, and a rails-to-trails path nearby is worth a pedal.
