Reservations are required at this Forest Service campground accessed via Fire Tower Road from Rolling Fork. The gravel road leads to primitive sites with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern poles, plus a small boat launch onto a bayou lined with cypress trees. Recent storm damage has left numerous downed trees throughout the area, creating challenging conditions for campers.
Sites offer both sunny spots suitable for solar panels and shaded areas under the canopy. The bayou provides kayak access among cypress knees and standing timber. Potable water is available from the Delta Work Forest Center, though campers should pack in all other supplies. For those planning extended stays in the region, camping near Rolling Fork includes several other forest options within a short drive.
