Kind of off the beaten path. You have to take the Willow River exit and go through the town a little bit. There's a small sign next to the Squirrel Cage restaurant and bar. You'll be next to the freeway and you'll hear the noise but it's not that bad. Usually hardly anyone is here. They have picnic…
Well maintained and clean site. Owners were friendly.
Spacious, beautiful overlook of Lake superior. The wind off the lake is chilly so bring layers. Firewood is $7, Firestarter are $5. Ppl very friendly and after 10 pm it is quiet. 10/10 would come again
Burlington Bay Campground was clean. The shower house by the playground was clean and new. The playground seemed fairly new and the kids loved playing on it. Walking on the beach lead to a nice City trail. The kids loved climbing all over the rock formations and finding new rocks.
Pulled over here for a quick stay. It is close to the freeway is about it. Not really what I would be looking for, for an extended stay. It was fine for an easy come and go. Facilities were clean.
Wanoka is a quiet campground just off the Hwy 2. It has a nice little trout pond and is a good place to teach the younger kids fishing skills. It is however not ideal for young ones who like to play as there is no playground.
This is my favorite campground for a getaway of a few days. It's less than an hour from home, with great treed sites, a river with tumbling waterfalls, and a covered bridge.
The sites are all non-electric. We plan to conserve the electricity so we can stretch the batteries with out using the…
We stayed during a busy summer season and it was beautiful. We hiked a number of trails to get to water falls that cooled us. Access was good but traffic and parking was busy depending on destination.
Any time on the North Shore is a great time! A lot to do and see. Clean restrooms and showers. The sites are a little close and not much privacy, but the view is awesome.

The area is beautiful with a lot to see and do. The camp is clean and for very full this time of year with many campers enjoying the color change on the north shore. Would like a little more forest around me but for a convenient spot I would stay here again in the future. Very clean. As far as…

Sweet little campground! Some road and railroad noise, but the hikes along the Amnicon River and spacious, private sites make up for it. We filled our fresh water at the park office (call ahead and ask). Very friendly and helpful rangers! Dump station is 18 miles down the road at Pattison State…

The campground was fine, just like other campgrounds in the area, in the forest. I spent only one night here with my RV, and it was raining all day, which really ruined my time here. The next morning I did see the falls. The falls are pretty close to a lower parking area. A trail also leads to it…
This is a small campground with about 35 sites, most fairly private. We were here mid week just before Labor Day and there were only a handful of other campers. It was very quiet, aside from highway and occasional train noise. The hiking here is beautiful and relatively easy. And, it's close to…
Smaller campground located in two harbors. Super nice personnel. Clean. Gravel sites with grass. The lake is right there. It shows $10 fee on the dyrt but it’s $46 including tax for an RV with the electric and water no sewer.
Very quiet area, and our site was overlooking the water, which offered an amazing view. Will definitely be returning here again.
