    Lake Bemidji State Park

    Nice State Park

This was an overnight stopover our way west. The site was spacious compared to some state parks. There were plenty of trees and a bit of terrain changes that made them more appealing. The lake was large and inviting (except for current swimmer's itch breakout). The bathrooms and showers were clean and the park staff was pleasant.

    Great place!

We were scheduled for 5 nights, but extended to 8 because it was such a great spot. Don and his wife were very nice, and super helpful. We checked in late, and Don even helped us set up camp. Nice pool too. Showers and bathrooms are very clean. Laundry is nice. Highly recommend if you can snag a spot.

    Beautiful LARGE State Park

Many bike and walking/hiking trails. Well maintained park. Many Campsites are level and we just backed in and set up.

Men’s bathroom is cleaned twice a day! Showers are clean and water is hot!

    Drinking water is good.

Great trails to hike. Super nice Visitors Center with great interactive displays to learn about the park.

View from the fire tower is spectacular! Beautiful wild flowers blooming along the trails. Took many pictures of loons on Mary’s lake.

    Breezy Pines Resort & Campground

Very quiet, Cozy and fun experience to RV at.

Most of this camp is reserved for seasonal campers but they have 2 extra sites. One Full hook up and one electric site. The full hook up site is a little tight if you bring a big RV, backing up is a skill you must bring.

When I was here, we were very close to Crooked lake which is a beautiful with a great fishery. I mainly came here for fishing and it was great.

They do have cabins that overlook Crooked lake and all I have to say is that it’s beautiful. They do have there own boat launch if you bring any type of water vessel. It cost $5 per day to dock it on their docks. They treat there RV sites and cabins which is a plus because we don’t have many mosquitoes during the day and night.

I would highly recommend this site for fishing and those who just want to get out. Booking was very easy and straight forward!

Full hook up: $50 a day Electric only: $40 a day.

$100 security deposit once booked which goes into your bill.

    Bear Paw Campground

    Absolute favorite

I love this park! We try to go at least once a year. Great facilities at the campgrounds- bear paw is probably best, it’s right on the lake and more spread out, but pine ridge is fine too. The park has awesome hiking, lots of things to do, and great rentals for fun on the lake. Do not miss!

    KOA Campground Bemidji

    Great base in Bemidji

Looking for a nice place to call home, this is a great little KOA ride along the highway with easy access for both small and large rigs. It's location to Lake Itasca, and the headwaters of the Mississippi, not to mention Paul Bunyan, and blue – – make this a great stop over destination.

    Natural Luxury

We love Minnesota, almost more than we love Wisconsin - only because the natural beauty and the numerous, non-ending lakes to explore. Instead of “ruffing it” we decided to treat ourselves with a cabin rental and don’t regret the splurge. Adorable cabins, with nice layout, on Pine Mountain Lake, which is one of many is of Minnesota's hidden treasured lakes. I don’t fish but it was fun watching others. This stay was quiet, relaxing and we left feeling rejuvenated. Excellent amenities and folks. Ya know, MN nice is a thing!

    Fall Camping

A great spot for fall camping! This spot was a close walk to the primitive toilet and offered a great view of the lake. This site offered a picnic table and fire ring. Some sites had electrical hookups, but I stayed at a tent spot. Pulling into the parking spot for each site was difficult, so patience is required. I saw a raccoon at my site in the middle of the night when taking a bathroom break and was glad my food was safely stowed in my car. Overall great spot for fall camping!

    Easily accessible

Beautiful sights from your tent site, walk in or camper, walk, drive, or bike to either the visitors center or the Mississippi Headwaters area and see yourself on the live Webcam at the Lake Itasca MN DNR Website. Yes and the fall colors and the nights sky is amazing as well.

    Pine Ridge Campground

Great getaway in a beautiful park with amazing bike trails and hiking .

We were on the main part of the loop with more traffic and no barrier to the dusty road. Less wind made the next day better but I’d recommend being further in. Great ambiance and real friendly people, dog friendly too. We were here when fall colors peaked, beautiful!
