D57 Upper Pigeon Lake

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Anglers and paddlers can access Upper Pigeon Lake directly from this dispersed campsite, which includes a boat launch alongside the standard fire ring and dual picnic tables. The site accommodates RVs up to 25 feet with level parking that extends at least 35 feet, though the unmaintained access road off Dixon Lake Road presents challenges. The final approach features uneven, sandy slopes that require higher clearance vehicles and confident maneuvering skills.

Beyond fishing and kayaking on the lake, campers can explore hiking, biking, and equestrian trails in the surrounding area. For those wanting developed amenities, Cut Foot Horse Camp offers a more structured camping experience nearby.

Camera in the trees

There's a camera hanging in the trees. Personally, it made me uncomfortable, so I left.

If the camera hadn't been there, I would have stayed. This spot was nice and secluded, off the main road, access to the water, and had a fire ring.

Picnic tables are there but broken. They may be usable without their benches

Established Dispersed Camping site

This is a very nice dispersed site with a fire ring, 2 picnic tables, a level parking spot that is at least 35ft long, and a boat launch into upper pigeon lake. The road off of county Rd 33 (Dixon lake Rd) is short but unmaintained and the end of it has a good bit of uneven, sandy slope. I would not recommend it if you have low clearance or are not confident in manuvering your vehicle/ trailer
